Not all my toys and not even most of my toys, but the majority of the ones that were on my desk at work.

This weekend some asshole(s) decided that they would steal my work computer, which is frustrating and violating by itself, but along with it they took the toys that I had on my desk which included 4 takochus, a manju-kun, 2 tiny ceramic good luck cats, 6 mini-Labbits, a Rolito Boy, a Petit Astrolapin Black Team, and a Mini-Luno.

The majority of those I could replace with a little effort, but the Petit Astrolapin and Mini-Luno are the ones that I’m sure are gone gone gone from my collection.

I understand why a dickbag of a thief would steal a computer, but it’s just so low to steal toys.  I hope that everything they touch from now one rots in their hands.

 I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to get these two below again, but if anyone out there has a lead on one, I would much appreciate the information.  If you know of anyone that has toy interests and can pass this plea along, I would appreciate that also.

I don’t think most people look at my blog through my domain, but if you had in the past few days you probably noticed that you were getting redirected to some nonsense.  It took Chris and I quite a few hours, but I think the malware script has been purged from my php.

I don’t know where the leak came from, but should it happen again, I’m prepared to slog through again.

National Women’s Day began in 1909 in the United States and quickly spread to other countries in the following years making it an international event.  There are now a number of countries that celebrate today as an official holiday!  Check out this timeline to see how the day developed over that past century.

I love the internet and I love cats and one of the best cats on the internet is Pusheen so it follows that I love Pusheen the Cat!  (If you have not spent hours looking at Pusheen gifs, then go over there now!)  This love, combined with my sewing fever, gets you Pusheen the Cat-Box!

I’m happy about how it turned out, especially the whiskers.  I had previously embroidered them, but they ended up looking more like eyelashes than whiskers.  It was a little extra work to make some felt whiskers, but totally worth it.  Also that little mouth was tricky, but I think it turned out overall.

Pusheen-Box is now hanging out at work and making this day just a little bit more adorable.

Funimation is currently running a contest which calls for entrants to make a Clara plush from the anime Princess Jellyfish.  Above is my newest creation and entry.  I used my old octopus base and made a few adjustments to the legs.  You can compare to an image from the anime below.  I think it’s a pretty good representation.  The contest ends on March 4th, midnight central time.

Yesterday, Chris and I attended the very first day of the very first Image Expo and it turned into a bit of a Treat Yo Self day.

Shoes, candy, comics, and delicious Mexican foods.

Highlight of Chris’s day was meeting Rob Liefeld.  He was a really nice guy and even drew a little head sketch in that Infinite book he’s holding.  Also met the Image founders (except McFarlane) and Kirkman.  Kirkman was also super cool and even though he needed to go to another signing area, he went through the line we were waiting in and signed things for everyone.

We ended up trying to get creators featured in the program to sign their respective images and ended up getting the majority of them.  Also bought (with personalized signatures) Expo exclusive issues of Chew from Layman and Guillory, who were also really nice people.  Basically everyone was really nice and it wasn’t so busy that things felt super rushed.  Well the line for the Image founders was a bit, but a lot of that had to do with people who brought giant stacks of single issues to get signed.

It was cool little con and I’m totally interested in seeing how it shapes up in the future.

I’ve been messing around for the past few weeks and now the site has a new header and I’ve actually added new things to my store!  One is a Random Critter Box that will be made when purchased and the other is an already made Octo Box.

Along with making a new octo, I made a pyramid shaped squid, which you can see hanging out above.

Here’s the bottom with an upside down look at my newly figured out stitched on signature.  So many legs!  So many suckers!  The square base is the same size as the all my box critters, but it came out smaller because of the pyramid shape.  I’m wondering if I should try to make it in a box shape or try to make it a taller pyramid, although this little bugger is pretty cute!

I finally got around to making new business like cards.  Went with the mini cards from Moo.

I’m like totally official now!
